Why the .wtf TLD?
Because .com felt wrong — it was taken anyway, and .io is for my company.
And because too many things nowadays are WTF-worthy.
anca.wtf is my place on the web. It will contain experiments, reflections, some honest-to-goodness rants, and what some might consider valid entries in a sailor-cursing competition. A notebook of sorts.
If you're a client or potential client, you can see my very colorful personality here. It might scare you away, but then again, maybe it’s a good filter.
If you like what you see, you will have a way to reach me soon. For now, I'm busy with my own stuff and I don't want to bamboozle you. Come back for updates ;)
How I Think
My brain doesn’t always work in a straight line. I'm a Libra between systems and chaos, in a perpetual journey to the ideal balance that, of course, doesn't exist.
I like to understand how things fit together, and then pull one thread to see what unravels. Most days it's a bitch. You wouldn't believe how many wicked problems I encounter when planning work in my garden or trying to build a watercolor palette. It's a problem, and slightly incompatible with my personal taste for solving problems quickly and efficiently.
I'm a generalist. Make of that what you will. Occasionally, a weird question pops in my head in the middle of the night or morning haze, and I go into a research rabbit-hole. Days, weeks... many tangents later, that question turns into a new "official" pursuit.
I guess I'm just curious. So this blog will be about many things.
What I Do Elsewhere
The idea of only doing one thing to perfection my whole life bores me to tears and drains the life out of me.
I run a company of one, servicing small and medium-sized customers with software development, website maintenance, technical documentation. Work's been slow there, but the problems are diverse and enjoyable to work on.
Initially planned for release in late 2025 or early 2026, the herbology.eco website got delayed, because I can't find a goddam cms that hits all the points I care about. And this project is "OH BOY!" level of complexity and commitment. I can't have the tooling fighting me. So I'm now tinkering A LOT with Astro and Obsidian, to make them bend to my will. When I figure all the hard parts, I'll start writing about plant lore, botany, traditional and evidence-based medicinal uses. I am, after all, a trained clinical herbalist as of October 2025, so best put those three years of biochemistry, phytochemistry, anatomy, phisiology and pathology to (hopefully) good use.
When I have enough of the above, I'm learning to paint, I'm reading, and gardening (with very little success - someone cut my green thumb!). And I'm thinking of at least two more projects to start and dilly-dally on for a while.
